Gisborough Hall appoints new spa director

Gisborough Hall has announced the appointment of Vicki Jackson as its new spa director. She will oversee strategic direction and day-to-day operations at the hotel’s new Sakura Spa.

A nature-inspired retreat, Sakura Spa is set to open in the late summer. Its woodland spa garden will include a vitality pool, herbal sauna, salt steam room, Finnish sauna and cold plunge.

Jackson has been part of the Gisborough Hall team since 2017, beginning as business development manager before progressing to deputy hotel manager.

In her new role, she will oversee the Sakura Spa, a significant milestone for Gisborough Hall.

New woodland spa garden

Located on the tip of the North York Moors, the multi-million pound Sakura Spa will invite guests to reconnect with nature through a deeply immersive, holistic wellbeing experience.

Set within a private woodland garden, the spa will feature six treatment rooms and a Japanese head spa alongside the extensive thermal garden. The woodland retreat will operate alongside the hotel’s existing Revival Zone spa.

At the heart of the spa the Koyo restaurant, named after the Japanese term for autumn leaves, will be inspired by the tradition of viewing seasonal leaves, symbolising change and the passing seasons.

The spa is being brought to life by international interior designer Nic Tamlin. Nicki Kurran is the spa consultant and T Manners & Sons is the contractor for internal spa works.
