New Halcyon Spa opens at SLS Barcelona

SLS Barcelona, the brand’s first European outpost, has revealed its new Halcyon Spa.

Located on the city’s waterfront at Port Fòrum, the spa has been designed by Rockwell Group and Wellness Consulting, drawing inspiration from the way light dances across water.

With architecture by b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, Halcyon draws guests in through a bright, luminous arrival space into moodier, more immersive interiors.

Entry is through a striking blue tunnel lined with translucent panels. The spa has four treatment rooms, including a double suite with a private hot tub, with Nilo treatment beds.

A cenote-like pool offers an atmospheric rain feature and a striking digital backdrop.

At its centre, Halcyon Spa has a circuit of Starpool sauna and steam experiences focused around a circular marble platform, which anchors the journey beneath an illuminated ceiling.

Stepping into the spotlight

SLS Barcelona, part of Ennismore, is a vibrant resort-meets-city setting.

The new wellness space is billed as being ‘less about retreating from the spotlight and more about stepping back into it’.

The brands behind the Halcyon Spa project

The 700sqm Halcyon Spa partners with Barcelona-born skincare brand Sepai. The menu spans glow-boosting facials, deep-release ‘Let Loose’ massages and targeted ‘Body Talk’ treatments.

Additional treatment partners include Wekker Innova, Susanne Kaufmann – for body oils – and Toofruit, for children’s treatments.

Uniforms are supplied by Balneo Spa Uniforms and towels and spa linens are by Elis. Fitness equipment is by Matrix and spa software by Book4Time.
