ilā embraces CBD for face and body collection

ilā has introduced a collection of CBD face and body care including a series of professional spa treatments for its growing portfolio of partner spas.

Cannabidiol – or CBD – is a non-psychotropic compound found in the cannabis plant. It is said to have many health and wellbeing benefits when ingested or used in spa products and treatments.

Denise Leicester, ilā founder, healer and alchemist explains: “Very simply, CBD works by communicating with our brain and part of our nervous system called the endocannabinoid system to improve our mood, sleep and memory, relieve anxiety and reduce pain and inflammation by allowing the body to be in a healing state.”

After extensive research, Leicester became fascinated with the healing properties of CBD and carefully paired it with other natural ingredients to complement and enhance its healing, anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing effects.

ilā now works directly with CBD farmers from West Virginia in US, who have over 20 years’ experience developing the plant’s qualities.
