Down Hall Estate launches new outdoor-focused Barn Spa

The Barn Spa has opened as part of the Down Hall hotel and estate on the Essex-Hertfordshire border.

The spa is an outdoor wellness concept, built to complement to the hotel’s award-winning Eden Spa. It is set with the estate’s 110-acre landscaped gardens and features five treatment rooms, including a couple’s suit, and an outdoor relaxation terrace.

The 170sqm garden retreat connects directly to the property’s kitchen garden, rooting the experience in its natural surroundings.

Signature Bramley spa treatments

Inspired by nature, the spa has an exclusive partnership with Bramley, with treatments delivered using the British wellness brand’s plant-based products.

Signature treatments include the Rejuvenate Ritual, featuring an exfoliation and a massage, and the Bramley Selenite Crystal Body Massage, using warmed selenite crystals to ease tension and restore balance.

The spa is also offering Mini Me treatments for younger guests aged five to 16, including a gentle facial and the magical head and scalp massage.

A range of spa day experiences complement the treatment menu including the Sip & Shine treatment with afternoon tea and the Mini & Me pampering day for a parent and child.

The garden design was orchestrated by Hicks & Hart, with interiors by Interiors of Chiswick. Treatment beds are supplied by REM and spa software is by Journey.

The hotel’s Eden Spa offers facials and massages by ESPA, with facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, steam room and sauna.
