A highly anticipated regenerative tourism destination, AMAALA at Triple Bay in Saudi Arabia begins welcoming guests this month

Real estate developer Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced its transformative wellness destination, AMAALA,  is now open.

An ultra-luxury destination, AMAALA at Triple Bay is being billed as ‘a new era for transformative wellness, high-performance fitness and holistic beauty experiences’. RSG is striving to set new global standards for holistic healing and personal rejuvenation with the brand.

Located on Saudi Arabia’s north-western coast, where the Hijaz Mountains meet the Red Sea, AMAALA sits across three naturally occurring bays. It will offer wellness properties by some of the world’s leading brands including Six Senses, Clinique La Prairie, Jayasom and Rosewood.

Wellness at AMAALA

The first wellness properties to open at AMAALA will invite guests to reconnect with nature and community for deep personal transformation. Cutting-edge science will meet ancient wisdom to unlock guests’ true potential for wellbeing.

Six Senses AMAALA will include a 3,000sqm spa with cryotherapy and a longevity clinic.

The 100 suite and villa resort will offer the brand’s signature Six Senses Wellness programmes including Sleep, Yoga, Fitness and Detox, as well as biohacking programmes.

Equinox Resort and Residences will include 128 sleep-optimised guest rooms, an open-air magnesium vitality pool, a subterranean spa grotto and hyperbaric chambers. There will be personalised IV therapies, an Equinox Fitness Club and a next-generation approach to regeneration and recovery.

There will also be Four Seasons Resort AMAALA at Triple Bay and Nammos Resort and Residences, AMAALA.

Phase One openings

RSG has invested 51.04 billion riyals (£10.36 billion) into Phase One of the destination’s development. When complete it will feature nine resorts.

The remaining three resorts that complete Phase One are by Clinique La Prairie, Jayasom and Ritz-Carlton. All are set to open over the coming months.

Clinique La Prairie AMAALA marks the brand’s global expansion beyond Switzerland. The resort is set to offer the Clinique La Prairie Longevity Method and state-of-the-art medical technologies. The resort will feature 74 rooms, ultra-luxury suites and 13 branded residences.

With 110 rooms and suites. Rosewood Resort, AMAALA will be divided into zones catering to different experiences, including a family hotel, a couple’s hotel and a spa and wellness zone with a Signature Asaya Spa.

Jayasom Wellness Resort at Triple Bay AMAALA will be a destination wellness retreat dedicated to fostering healthy living through holistic health programmess, fitness, nutrition and spa therapies.

Regenerative tourism

AMAALA at Triple Bay was officially opened during the inaugural TOURISE Summit.

The destination is powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, eliminating 350,000 tCO2eq (tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent) annually. RSG is committed to a 30 per cent net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040 through enhancing biologically diverse habitats.

AMAALA has been designed to accommodate no more than 500,000 visitors annually to preserve the environment. As well as six wellness resorts, there is an exclusive yacht club, a marina and a leading marine life institute.

The Wellness Route, a 5km linear park that connects the resorts and experiences through nature, is set to open in the next few months.
