Heralding a new era for the company, Simon P Casson became CEO of Corinthia Hotels in 2023. Having served Four Seasons Hotels for more than three decades, he now leads Corinthia’s hotel operating company and oversees the opening of its landmark properties.

Casson told European Spain a recent interview that wellness travellers are top of mind at Corinthia Hotels when it comes to new investment. He said that wellbeing sits at the very heart of Corinthia Hotels’ plans to create memorable experiences.

“People are increasingly prioritising their physical and mental wellbeing, seeking opportunities that can offer authentic wellness amenities and experiences.”

“Investing in wellness, in a holistic manner, will remain an integral priority for Corinthia Hotels and the broader hospitality industry,” he added.

Corinthia’s global head of spa and wellness, Kerry Turpin, joined the brand as part of a new team to drive ambitious wellness growth plans.

“In all our Corinthia spas we really want to create a sense of place so our guests feel the location,” she told European Spa.

“Our approach to wellness reflects Corinthia’s commitment to holistic hospitality, fostering deeper connections with guests and cultivating loyalty over time.”

Investment in wellness

According to Turpin, Corinthia Hotels’ future investment is set to be significant. “Investment into the overall spa guest experience is ongoing this year,” she said.

“More announcements and partnerships will be announced soon. I am very excited to be a part of building the spa portfolio. We are very lucky to have a wealth of experience across our spas, which we are looking to grow.”

“I am passionate about training and supporting our growing team, ensuring they have the tools they need in a fast-changing industry to stay ahead of the game.”
