Sheraton Lake Como has enhanced its relaxation offering with a new 750sqm spa, in collaboration with Italian sustainable beauty brand INSÌUM.

The lakeside wellbeing spa features three treatment cabins, a nail studio and wet area with a 12.5m swimming pool and hydromassage tub, supplied by Culligan. Treatment beds are by Lemi.

The pool’s structure emphasises soft lines, with water flowing over stone to create a soft, soothing effect.

There is also a sauna, Mediterranean bath, emotional showers, an ice waterfall, all supplied by Starpool.

A relaxation room evokes a classic naval environment, reminiscent of grand cruises, complete with porthole-shaped windows. There is also a gym equipped by Technogym.

A moment of uncompromising beauty

“Our goal was to complete our resort’s offerings by providing an oasis of mental and physical regeneration for guests, where every element is natural, pure and simple,” said Andrea Caniggia, CFO at Sheraton Lake Como Hotel.

Sheraton Lake Como worked with two architect studios, Venelli Kramer and Corrado Tagliabue. The hotel’s owners, the De Santis family, were also heavily involved.

Light plays a crucial role in the spa’s ambiance. Large windows connect the interior with the garden, a vibrant space filled with hydrangeas and red maples.

Furnishings are reinterpretations of historical pieces – from serpentine stone from nearby Valtellina to custom-made burnished brass lamps.

The vegan high-tech skincare brand has created bespoke treatment rituals including the Magnolia Dream Ritual, inspired by Lake Como.

The spa director, Natalie Monti, and the spa manager, Giorgia Gilardoni will oversee five therapists.

“I am proud to oversee the Spa at Sheraton Lake Como, an oasis dedicated to wellbeing,” said Monti. “ Our unique rituals created with the INSÌUM are pure, simple and truly effective.”
