New £2.5m spa set to open at Ffolkes in Norfolk

Ffolkes, a 300-year-old hotel in Hillington, Norfolk, has announced plans for a new £2.5m spa.

Ffolkespa, set to open in late summer 2025, is the vision of consultants Spa Creators alongside the property’s owners Iain and Clair Wilson.

Facilities at Ffolkespa will include an indoor thermal experience with three saunas – herbal, salt and theatre – and two steam rooms. Additional wellness experiences will include an ice fountain and a plunge pool.

There will also be relaxation spaces, four treatment rooms, a lounge and a bar. There is further space for an additional four treatment rooms in the future.

Outdoor hot tub garden

In an outside garden spa space, five hydro features will create a hot tub garden, alongside a heated swimming pool, a snooze pod and double swing loungers.

Additionally, 12 of Ffolkes’ bedrooms will have direct access to the spa, enhancing the guest experience and complementing the hotel’s three recently opened spa cabins with in-room private hot tub and sauna facilities.

There are also outdoor showers and wood burners.

Formerly an old coaching inn, Ffolkes is a quirky 23-bedroom hotel near King’s Lynn.

The new spa will also provide day guest access to holders of a Norfolk Passport, a free-to-join membership programme providing perks across leading Norfolk experiences.
