The St Moritz Hotel, in Cornwall, has revealed a new £1.5m H2O area, to complement its Cowshed Spa.

The new St Moritz Cowshed Spa  offers an outdoor hydro pool, steam room and sauna by Trelawney Pools.

There are ice fountains and sensory showers by Living House supplied by Grander.

The design has been managed by Steve Coombe of 3idog.

The new H2O area enhances the existing wellbeing-driven spa menu alongside the Soho House Cowshed treatment list.

The refurbishment has been led by Sara Last, the peoperty’s recently-appointed director of operations.

“To us, wellness is multifaceted. We have nature’s playground on our doorstep and my focus is allowing our guests to reconnect, whether that’s with themselves, nature or their friends or families.”

“With a strong strategy around wellbeing, we are on a mission to ensure St Moritz is the optimum wellness destination in the South West,” said Sara Last, director of operations, St Moritz Hotel and Cowshed Spa.

“We have the ocean on our doorstep and all the many benefits that brings, as well as our serene space inside for guests to return to. We’re offering time to be in the moment and a freedom to roam, both mentally and physically.”

Miami-inspired wellness design

The St Moritz Hotel and Cowshed Spa, located between Polzeath and Rock on the north Cornish coast, was built by the Ridgway brothers almost 16 years ago. It is home to the only Cowshed Spa outside of Soho House properties.

The new Miami-inspired wellness space is part of Last’s plan to offer a unique approach to wellness.

The Soho House interior styling of the Cowshed Spa is carried through the new area with the addition of new changing rooms and indoor pool seating and lounging. A departure from the current global trend for rustic style spas, it boasts colourful, shining interiors.

There is Italian rock and pebble-inspired signature flooring and marble white mosaics in the pools. The walls feature blocks of colour that compliment lozenge-shaped blush pink tiles.

St Moritz Hotel is now integrating the Cowshed Spa treatments with a new list of wellness options, pioneered by Crkonova.
