Hand Picked Hotels launches wellness retreats in the Channel Islands

Hand Picked Hotels has announced it is launching holistic wellness retreats at its three Channel Island properties.

Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney, Fermain Valley Hotel in Guernsey and L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey will now offer mindfulness wellness retreats.

The retreats have been curated to revitalise guests while allowing them to explore the unspoilt natural landscapes of the Channel Islands.

Sea swimming is a major element of the retreats and each will include the opportunity to swim in the islands’ clear waters.

Each holistic wellness retreat has been designed in harmony with the local environment by experts in physical and mental wellbeing.

The retreats on offer from Hand Picked Hotels for autumn are:

L’Horizon Beach Hotel – Yoga and wellness day retreat: September 15
Fermain Valley Hotel – Wellness retreat: September 28
Braye Beach Hotel – Alderney wellness retreat: September 20-22
L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa –Pilates Escape: November 8-10

At Braye Beach Hotel on Alderney, which is just three miles long, the wellness retreat will focus on mindfulness and seclusion.

Led by local guides Clare Evans and Natalie Hildon, who are both experienced yoga teachers, the retreat will feature beach Tai Chi, yoga, sea swimming and mindful walks.

Pilates Escape on Jersey

The dedicated Pilates escape at L’Horizon Beach Hotel will focus on restoration through beach Pilates and be led by Pilates instructor and doctor of biomechanics, Joey Freeman.

Each retreat is supported with an accompanying menu of healthy, colourful, nutritious food.
