Claridge’s announces transformative new spa concepts for 2024

Iconic London hotel Claridge’s has announced new spa concepts for its 650sqm Claridge’s Spa, which sits three floors below the Mayfair property.

Firstly, Claridge’s Spa is introducing treatments by celebrated massage therapist, Luca Bagnara.

Bagnara is renowned for working in the field of remodelling aesthetic massages, including lymphatic drainage – his tailor-made experiences work to improve the appearance of cellulite and reduce water retention.

In 2012, Bagnara opened his first institute in Sanary-sur-Mer and has recently moved his practice to Paris. Most recently at The Maybourne Riviera, he will now be available for guests to book at Claridge’s Spa every Wednesday.

Bagnar’s signature treatment, a mix of lymphatic drainage and manual body shaping, is priced at £350.00 for 90 minutes.

The Pink Room at Claridge’s Spa

Claridge’s opened the doors of its spa in October 2022. The subterranean Claridge’s Spa is anchored by a thermal treatment area with a heated pool, private relaxation cabanas, steam rooms and saunas.

The property is now adding a new treatment space, The Pink Room. The seventh treatment space at Claridge’s will make its debut on March 1.

Taking inspiration from the hotel’s Painter’s Room bar, the Pink Room will nod to restoration and deep nourishment within a powerful pink aesthetic. There will be a heated pink onyx bed in the centre of the room – a modern take on a classic hammam.

The Mask Bar at Claridge’s Spa

A dedicated Pink Room treatment will begin with aromatic steam, followed by a charcoal soap to detoxify and cleanse the skin before exfoliation with a traditional fine textured kese mitt. Guests will be able to chose between one of three masks at the Mask Bar.

Restore is pink clay infused with rosehip, adaptogen schisandra, evening primrose, cold pressed argan and vanilla, while Detox uses green clay, chaga mushroom, chlorella, avocado oil, eucalyptus and marjoram.

Lastly, Nourish contains white clay infused with ground coffee, oats, propolis, extra virgin oil, blackcurrant, rose and sea water.

“We’ve had a fantastic first year and are delighted to extend our offering. Luca Bagnara’s method had been hugely popular at The Maybourne Riviera, and we are delighted to welcome him to London,” said Hattie David-Wilkinson, director of spa at Claridge’s.

“The Pink Room completes our treatment spaces. Our therapists will blend bespoke scrubs and masks, echoing the tailor-made touches Claridge’s is synonymous with.”

Claridge’s Spa was created by interior architect Andre Fu and is inspired by traditional Japanese temples and Kyoto Zen gardens.

The Japanese influence extends into the spa experience with guests receiving kimonos and a welcoming foot ritual on entry.

The treatment menu includes by body and facial rituals from brands such as Augustinus Bader, La-Eva and Facegym.

Wellness masters include nail artist Harriet Westmoreland and fertility and women’s health practitioner and Ross J. Barr.
