Global Wellness Summit announces stellar programme for Tel Aviv

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) has unveiled the full conference and education programme for its 2022 event, taking place in Tel Aviv, Israel, at the end of October. 

The agenda for the three-day event includes more than 30 keynote speeches and panel discussions covering topics such as longevity; the future of travel, hospitality and spa; health and wellness technology; wellness, governments and policy; wellness real estate and communities; and the future of beauty and wellness, among others. 

Extensive speaker programme

The extensive speaker programme includes such experts as Sarah Camilleri, founding editor of European Spa magazine; Pierre-Louis Delapalme, co-chairman of Biologique Recherche; Anna Bjurstam, wellness pioneer at Six Senses; Chunxia Gao, group director of spa and wellness for Asia at Minor Hotels; Nimrod Cohen, MD of TAU Ventures at Tel Aviv University; leading hyperbaric oxygen expert Dr Shai Efrati, MD; and Blue Zones discoverer Dan Buettner. 

The line-up will also include talks from Michelle Williams, dean of the faculty at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Rick Stollmeyer, founder of Mindbody, a wellness experience platform worth nearly $2 billion.

Other speakers include Levi Shapiro, founder of mHealth, Israel’s largest community of health-tech innovators, and Aradhana Khowala, chairwoman of the Advisory Board for Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project, one of the world’s most regenerative tourism projects to date.

A powerful agenda

“The journey to bring the GWS to Tel Aviv began in 2020 but the world had other ideas,” said GWS chief creative operator and executive director, Nancy Davis.

“It took chutzpah to bring this summit to life, and the calibre and variety of speakers, the soulfulness and creativity, and the sheer breadth of content confirm that we have delivered a powerful agenda.

“Getting to know the country, the people and the palpable energy that courses through Tel Aviv is something I want every delegate to feel. Producing a global gathering centred around wellness, at a time in the world when that’s needed more than ever, is an honour and a responsibility,” Davis added.

GWS 2022

The 2022 edition of the GWS will take place at the Hilton Tel Aviv in Israel between October 31 and November 3. 

The event will explore the theme of ‘Open Minds, Open Hearts, Open for Business’, with a roster of expert speakers sharing the latest thinking set to positively shape the future of the $4.4 trillion wellness industry.
