More than 20,000 free and inclusive activities were on offer across 2,012 cities in 187 countries.

The 2025 event, which took place in late September, attracted engagement in every time zone, achieving 19 million views. World Wellness Weekend received more than 600 media mentions and 6,300 mentions on social media.

Organisers estimate the total audience for all outlets featuring coverage on World Wellness Weekend reached 2.7 billion, versus 430 million in 2023.

Celebrations for the ninth World Wellness Weekend centred around promoting vitality, serenity, solidarity and sustainability.

In terms of participation, the top countries for 2025 were Spain (637 venues), Italy (633 venues) and Japan (506 venues).

The leading participating cities were Tokyo, Sao Paulo and Malaga.

“Wellness starts with ‘we’. It is a renewable energy that can light up the world. It’s my honour and pleasure to lead this planetary wellness celebration to support the United Nations’ objective of good health and wellbeing for all.”

Jean-Guy de Gabriac

Founder, World Wellness Weekend

“In 2025, we saw the largest participation of hotel groups, going all in to support #WellnessForAll during World Wellness Weekend,” adds de Gabriac.

“There were free events for customers, back of house sessions for colleagues and outreach initiatives for underserved communities. These three Cs span the full dimension of wellness.”
