Irish seaweed spa and skincare brand Voya has developed a new training programme that will equip Voya therapists with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt treatments safely for clients going through or living with cancer

The Cancer Wellness Training Programme will enable Voya therapists to deliver cancer-safe versions of the brand’s entire spa treatment menu, which includes facials, scrubs, wraps, massages and seaweed baths.

Available as both online and onsite training, participants will be taught how to work on guests who are currently receiving chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy, immunotherapy treatments or are recovering from cancer.

Voya therapists will also have the option to gain a CIBTAC qualification, which is internationally recognised and can be carried throughout their career.

“Here at Voya, we believe that when someone has been touched by cancer they should be able to have the same deep relaxing day at the spa as anyone else to help release stress and worry at a time where they are dealing with physical and emotional stress,” said Mark Walton, managing director and co-founder of Voya.
