voco Stockholm – Kista opens in Sweden

IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened its newest property in Sweden, voco Stockholm – Kista.

The 201-room hotel has opened in one of Stockholm’s most diverse districts, and boasts the only spa and pool in Kista.

The top-floor 400sqm spa features a sauna and steam bath by Tylo, as well as two treatment rooms with Gharieni treatment beds.

“Our 241sqm pool area, complete with hydrotherapy, and our relaxation-focused lounge, is a retreat for both locals and international visitors,” said spa manager Inga Klavina.

“At voco hotels, we emphasise personal wellbeing and relaxation, and our spa is no exception. We look forward to welcoming guests to a unique wellness destination.”

The spa offers a hydrotherapy pool by Enviro Process and a gym with equipment by Fitnessbrands.

The pool is supplied by Berndorf, while towels and spa linens are sourced from Textilia.

Every guest receives a typical Swedish treat – a chocolate ball – on arrival. The signature gift is part of Swedish ‘fika’ culture, where Swedes take a coffee break to connect with others.

First launched in 2018, voco hotels is one of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ fastest-growing brands with 71 open hotels and 79 destinations in the pipeline.
