Villa Eden, The Private Retreat in the spa town of Merano, Italy, has reopened its doors following a refurbishment of the medical spa.

The makeover redefines the property’s holistic health and longevity medicine offer. It sees the introduction of a new diagnostic centre, a phyto-algae therapy centre and advanced medical clinics.

An exclusive adults-only retreat, Villa Eden has 25 suites for a maximum of 45 guests. It has been one of Europe’s leading medical spa retreats for more than 40 years.

New programming now includes Starpool’s Zerobody Dry Cryo and Ozone Oxygen Therapy.

“Our inspiration stems from a very clear vision: wellness is no longer just relaxation, it is prevention, regeneration and longevity. We have decided to radically renovate our spa to offer experiences that are not merely pleasurable, but truly transformative for body and mind.”

Dr Emanuele De Nobili

Medical director, Villa Eden

“Villa Eden has always been an iconic place of health; now we’re evolving as a longevity centre,” says Dr De Nobili.

“This is a natural evolution of our philosophy. Longevity is not just about living longer, but living better, with energy, lucidity and vitality even in advanced decades.

“Our mission is to help each guest regain a deep balance, slow down biological ageing and stimulate self-regeneration processes. Every detail of the new spa – from the natural materials to the choice of treatments – has been designed to be consistent with this goal.”

Diagnostics and longevity medicine

The expansion introduces several state-of-the-art wellness facilities including the new diagnostic centre and advanced medical clinics in the Eden’s Health Longevity Med Spa.

Ozone Oxygen Therapy is on offer to strengthen the body’s defence mechanisms through super blood oxygenation. This is supplied with partner Hermann Gerätebau.

The Starpool Zerobody Dry Cryo offers controlled cold exposure to reduce inflammation and promote cellular regeneration.

“Our Phyto-algae Therapy Centre uses water’s therapeutic properties to enhance circulation, relieve muscle tension, and optimise metabolic function,” says Dr De Nobili.

“Phytoalgatherapy is not simply a treatment – it is a tool for deep biological stimulation. It combines the detoxifying and remineralising power of seaweed and represents a bridge between thalassotherapy tradition and functional innovation.”

The Phyto-algae Therapy Centre uses equipment by Starpool and Unbescheiden.

Transformative wellness programming

New programmes include the seven-day Signature Better Aging package and the three-day Longevity Check-up. There is also a four-day Detox & Rejuvenation programme.

Other new treatment offers include IV therapy, with tailored infusions such as alkalizing and immuno plus.

NanoVi Technology is used to harness nebulised bioidentical signals to stimulate cellular repair, supporting longevity and overall vitality.

Guests can try Intermittent Hypoxia–Hyperoxia Training (IHHT) to simulate the benefits of high-altitude benefits from Cellgym.

Aesthetics procedures

Minimally invasive aesthetic technologies are offered in partnership with InMode.

These technologies include Morpheus8 Face & Body, the Vasculaze 1064 Laser, Lumecca Peak IPL light therapy and VisioFace 1000D AI Skin Analysis.

Epigenetic and pharmacogenetic testing as well as a gut microbiome and True Age biological test are available. These tests are used by the spa’s medical team to create deeply personalized longevity solutions for guests.

“We have been in the field for over 40 years, were pioneers in Italy, and are still considered the best and most serious in the market,” says Dr De Nobili.

“Everything we do and have introduced is due to our meticulous research into technology and working methods that we have painstakingly put in place over the years, and above all, the fine-tuning of treatments that work and give a guaranteed result.
