Skincare brand TempleSpa has announced two senior level promotions within its spa channel.

Gemma Dobson has been promoted from group spa manager to senior business manager, while Charlotte Merry has assumed the role of senior spa trainer.

“At TempleSpa, promotions aren’t given, they’re earned through commitment, growth and the drive to go above and beyond,” said vice-president, global head of spa, Sarah Ronchetti.

“The whole spa team are all people who’ve previously worked together or have been recommended into the business by another team member or a spa manager we work with.”

About Gemma Dobson

Starting her career as a beauty therapist in Somerset, Dobson went on to work with ESPA International as a regional business manager for eight years.

Returning to spa operations, she worked at the Cleve Hotel & Spa in Somerset before joining Caudalie as a regional business manager to help develop its spa presence in the UK.

Dobson spent four years as group spa business manager at TempleSpa before her recent promotion.

“I am proud of the relationships we’ve built, the projects we’ve worked on and the spa partnerships we’ve created,” said Dobson. “This senior role will see me offering a greater level of support to our spa team, ensuring we deliver exceptional service whilst looking at new initiatives to add value for our spa partners.”

“We’re  looking into how we can make our training more interactive and a time to reset for therapists,” said Merry. “We know therapists all work so hard, giving their energy to guests every day, and want to give them time away to reflect on their roles.

“I will also mentor and support new trainers as they join TempleSpa and lead our Train The Trainer training within spas.”
