Noella Gabriel, global president and co-founder of Elemis. will present a keynote address at Spa Life Ireland 2023. She will lead a speaker programme that focuses on the reinvention of wellness.

Gabriel will share the story of her career journey from treatment room to boardroom, offering insights on mistakes made and lessons learned.

Originally from Cork, the host city for the event, Gabriel is a natural choice to address this year’s event.

Following a successful 2022 event at Galgorm Resort in Ballymena, Spa Life Ireland Convention is heading to Co. Cork. The host venue is the five-star Fota Island Resort and the gathering takes place from September 11 – 12.

The event includes a jam-packed itinerary with an exciting range of business-focused activities designed to support senior spa professionals.

It begins with what has become an integral part of the event, the speed-networking forum. This session matches buyers and suppliers together, based on their stated interests.

This includes a series of pre-selected meetings take place where spa managers can explain their current challenges and the suppliers offer potential solutions.

Engaging conversations at Spa Life Ireland

Following initial meetings, operators can visit the mini-expo arena to discover more information from the brands and review all the latest product innovations.  It’s also a chance to learn about new trends so that they can make informed decisions and begin to develop investment strategies for the business.

The next activity, unique to Spa Life Ireland, involves an immersive, wellness experience for all delegates. Designed by the resort’s spa team, this allows attendees to meet and chat in a relaxing spa environment. They can explore the facilities and learn about its operation – a unique way to network and get connected with peers. The day concludes with a gala dinner with music and entertainment.

Inspirational speakers

The second day os Spa Life Ireland involves a comprehensive conference programme designed exclusively to support management education in the sector. This year’s programme will be opened with an engaging keynote address from industry legend, and Cork native, Noella Gabriel, global president and co-founder of Elemis.

Supporting the keynote is a series of breakout sessions themed around the concept of reinventing wellness. Speakers include GWI award-winning spa expert, Christine Clinton. She will be speaking about the idea of ‘Wellness for All’, and the notion of expanding the demographic of spa consumers to include younger people.

Erin Lee, executive director of the World Halotherapy Association, will be discussing innovative ways to re-use dead spaces. She will also explore opportunities for low-cost, low-tech solutions and ‘therapy stacking’ to deliver increased profits in just three months.

The re-invention of wellness

The CEO of Myndstream, Freddie Morros, was a popular recent speaker at Spa Life UK, will share his ideas on how to use music as a revenue generator. Mark Smith, deputy editor, European Spa magazine, will discuss strategies to develop compelling proposals to secure investment for your spa facilities.

Speaking about the event and the theme of re-invention, event director, Kilian Fisher said; “It’s clear that recovery is well under way but now there is a new generation of wellness savvy consumers looking to our industry for the health and wellness needs. We need to find ways to re-imagine and re-invest ourselves to cater for this new demographic to help us grow”.
