Spa at Hotel Gabrielli part of €20 million renovation after Starhotels acquisition

Hospitality group Starhotels Collezione has added Hotel Gabrielli in Venice to its portfolio of luxury hotels. 

Previously owned and operated by the Perkhofer family, the hotel dates back to 1856 and is located on the city’s historic waterfront, offering spectacular views of the San Marco lagoon and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.

It consists of three historic buildings, with a unique 14th-century Venetian-style facade, offering 69 guest rooms and suites, as well as seven serviced apartments. 

Other facilities include a spa, garden, internal courtyards, terrace, ballroom and private dock, as well as several food and beverage venues. 

Under the new ownership, the hotel has already begun a €20 million restoration programme and is expected to reopen in summer 2023 as a ‘five-star landmark in the lagoon city’.
