Royal Nuad Thai spa opens at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel

The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London has announced the launch of Royal Nuad Thai, a new wellness offering inspired by Thai spa treatments and traditions. 

Described as ‘the most authentic Thai spa treatment experience outside of Thailand’, Royal Nuad Thai features a relaxation room and three treatment rooms, named after Thai flowers – Lotus, Jasmine and Hibiscus – each equipped with its own bathroom and shower.

The spa offers a holistic treatment menu, featuring a host of curated massage and beauty experiences, including the Royal Nuad Thai Massage, which uses Thai yoga to balance energy and harmony in the body through a combination of assisted yoga poses and gentle stretches. 

Other treatments include the Royal Thai Oil Massage, which uses warm essential oils and smooth flowing massage strokes to aid relaxation, boost the immune system and rid the body of toxins, leaving the client feeling rested and rejuvenated. 

Billed as ‘the best of both worlds’, the Ultimate Thai Massage begins with a Thai yoga session, to relieve aching muscles and stiff joints, followed by a hot oil massage to help reduce stress and relieve tension.

A Traditional Thai Herbal Compress Massage features a hot herb-infused compress, which is pressed over the entire body to ease muscle tension and relieve stress as well as to promote blood circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system to help release toxins. The treatment consists of a 45-minute hot-oil massage and 15 minutes of herbal compress.

Massage rituals are performed by specially trained masseuses and are designed to offer an energising yet rejuvenating experience. 

Each treatment begins with a traditional foot ritual with scented warm water and a natural foot scrub, and ends with a session in the relaxation room with a cup of warming lemongrass water, to flush out toxins.
