Nordic wellness destination Hagastrand announces autumn opening

Nobis Hospitality Group has announced plans to open a new wellness destination in Stokholm this autumn.

Hagastrand, set by the waters of Brunnsviken in Stockholm’s royal park, Haga, will offer space for wellness, meetings and social connection.

With 215 rooms and a 2,500sqm spa, Hagastrand will blend a connection with nature with contemporary Scandinavian design and sensory experience architecture in a space for work and restoration.

The Hagastrand Spa

Hagastrand Spa, designed in collaboration with Wingårdhs Architects, will combine Nordic wellness rituals with biohacking technology and an immersive, sensory design. The Social Wellness Experience will be a vibrant space where wellness meets community.

Facilities will include a swimming pool and an event sauna for up to 60 guests, where storytelling-infused rituals will be led by certified sauna masters. There will also be a lounge offering drinks and seasonal bites.

As one of the largest spas in Scandinavia, Hagastrand will offer a sanctuary for silence, connection, contemplation and renewed energy through immersive rituals and experiences.

Thermal wellness

The Thermal Wellness Experience will offer guests a restorative journey through heat and cold. Facillities include a hammam, herbal and Nordic saunas, snow room, experience showers and relaxation areas.

Hagastrand Spa will feature Gongmatic, the first self-playing gong installation outside Italy. The installation will combine ancient sound healing traditions with modern technology to create a powerful sensory encounter.

Neuroacoustic therapy loungers and red light treatments will be available in collaboration with Nutrilight and Rippl.

Lastly, the spa will be offering daily movement journeys and retreats with Sanctum, which offers mindful movement experiences.

The spa concept has been developed by wellness expert Alla Sokolova, who brings years of global wellness industry experience to Hagastrand.

In addition to the main spa, there will be a Wellness Suite for private group experiences and a private spa area with duo suites and holistic treatments.

A fully equipped gym will offer daily movement classes and there will be a wellness concept store.

“Hagastrand is a place to slow down, recharge and embark on a Nordic wellness journey beyond the ordinary,” said Sokolova. “It’s a place for work, celebration and deep relaxation.”

The Hagastrand hotel’s newly renovated guest rooms have also been designed by Wingårdh architecture and design studio.

The hotel’s culinary concepts will be inspired by the Nordic elements. Menus will embrace the contrasts of forest, sea, earth and fire, with seasonal dishes prepared with sustainably sourced ingredients.
