MSC Cruises has revealed details of the full refurbishment planned for its MCS Aurea Spa, which will reopen aboard the MSC Magnifica next summer.

The new spa is part of one of the biggest refurbishments in the fleet and will include a sauna with panoramic sea views, two steam rooms, a salt room, a Kneipp path and emotional showers.

Designed as a sensorial journey, the thermal area will guide guests through restorative contrasts of heat, cold and rest, with facilities supplied by Starpool.

MSC Magnifica is part of MSC Cruises’ luxury all-inclusive cruising concept. The cruise ship will begin its dry-dock refurbishment later this year, expected to relaunch in summer 2026.

“The MSC Yacht Club is one of our most highly regarded products, so we’re proud to be bringing this to MSC Magnifica,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises. “The extensive remodelling is the largest we’ve undertaken in the last ten years.”

The new MSC Yacht Club will span five decks and also include a new private sundeck with pool, whirlpool and cabanas.

The MSC Aurea Spa will be joined by an MSC Gym, fully equipped by Technogym, complete with indoor workout areas, and dedicated yoga and spinning studios.

“From next year, guests will be able to enjoy this beautifully redesigned spa, the vision of MSC Cruises’ architects, as part of our most extensive refurbishments. The new MSC Aurea Spa will be a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation.”

“The refreshed MSC Aurea Spa on MSC Magnifica will be designed to give guests more ways than ever to relax, restore and recharge while at sea,” said HeatherDurnall, head of spa at MSC Cruises.
