The Carlton Milan, a Rocco Forte Hotel, has opened complete with an Irene Forte Spa.

Rocco Forte’s 16th property and second in Milan, the Carlton has undergone an extensive €60m (£52m) renovation.

The Irene Forte Spa brings nature-led rituals and longevity philosophy to the urban environment.

Designed by Paolo Moschino, who also created the hotel’s authentic Milanese experience, alongside Rocco Forte Hotel’s director of design, Olga Polizzi, the interior concept is inspired by the natural world.

The spa features earthy tones, terracotta hues, warm woods, chocolate leathers and curved architectural forms.

“Our vision has always been to create spaces where wellbeing feels both luxurious and deeply purposeful. At the Carlton, we’ve woven together everything I love: the science of high-performance skincare with the soul and warmth of Mediterranean living, creating a restorative destination that uplifts both in the moment and over time.”

“Treatments at the Forte Vita Bar are tailored to the fast pace of Milan, delivering high-performance, restorative results in a short, refined form,” Irene Forte, wellness consultant at Rocco Forte Hotels, exclusively told European Spa.

“Though intimate, the spa is exceptionally well-equipped and highly functional, combining Irene Forte skincare with my favourite machine technologies, including LYMA, LED and Icoone.”

Intimate yet functional

At 280sqm, the spa has three treatment rooms, a nail salon and the Forte Vita Bar, offering express beauty rituals for people on a busy schedule.

Additional facilities include a thermal and relaxation suite with sauna, volcanic cave-inspired steamroom, ice fountain and experience showers.

There is a relaxation lounge with vibration sound beds, offering add-on services including pressotherapy and reflexology, plus a Technogym-equipped gym.

Irene Forte Skincare is flagship treatment and retail presence in the spa. Complementary wellness brands include Davines for hair, Manucurist for nails, Le Rub for SPF, Lido for swimwear and Varley for activewear.
