Grantley Hall unveils new Nordic spa garden

Grantley Hall has announced the opening of a new Nordic Spa Garden in its Three Graces Spa.

The Yorkshire hotel and spa has also added a new, al fresco bar, The House of Suntory Terrace, and a Whispering Angel Terrace.

The Nordic Spa Garden features two bespoke ice baths from Brass Monkey, which keep water at temperatures as low as 0°c.

A year-round outdoor spa space

Residents and day spa guests can now experience the health benefits of cold-water immersion in a tranquil countryside setting.

The Nordic Spa Garden also includes a bespoke steam sauna from Brass Monkey, with scenic views of the surrounding grounds, and an outdoor hydrotherapy pool.

The House of Suntory Terrace, open for the summer months, features a cherry blossom installation next to the backdrop of the Grade II listed ornamental Japanese Garden, built in 1910.

The terrace marks the 100th anniversary of the House of Suntory, the founding house of Japanese whisky.

Three Graces Spa

The 972sqm Three Graces Spa also offers five treatment rooms, a relaxation room, an 18-metre pool and a spa lounge overlooking the gardens.

Taking its inspiration from the daughters of Greek god Zeus – Euphrosyne, Aglaea and Thalia – Three Graces Spa has a Barr + Wray-designed wet spa area and an indoor-to-outdoor vitality hydrotherapy pool.

Three Graces’ Romanesque wet spa area has a cloistered ceiling, a poolside KLAFS sauna, a steam room and snow room, as well as access to an outdoor terrace with a cedar hot tub and fire pit.

The spa appointed Gillian McGraffin as its new spa and wellness manager in July.
