As it strives to further diversify its product range, Gharieni Group has announced its acquisition of Bentlon.

A well-established Dutch beauty equipment manufacturer operating for close to 50 years, Bentlon is known for its ergonomic designs. As well as beauty and pedicure chairs, Bentlon manufactures the trademarked facial steamer Vapozon entirely by hand in the Netherlands.

“The acquisition of Bentlon is a logical step towards more diversity in our product portfolio,” said Sammy Gharieni, founder and CEO of Gharieni. “Well known for manufacturing and designing treatment beds for the beauty market, Bentlon is a perfect fit for us. The synergies created by this acquisition around development and production will be noticeable in our future product ranges.”

The Bentlon brand will continue to operate independently from the Gharieni Group, and Andrea Westerwoudt has been named general manager. A new face in the beauty industry, Westerwoudt – who was previously a teacher – believes it is important to maintain Bentlon’s identity.

“With the acquisition of Bentlon, we are quietly expanding our product range,” Westerwoudt said. “Bentlon is a traditional family business with nearly 50 years of expertise. Bentlon beauty and podiatry chairs are all made in the Netherlands – something we are very proud of. It will add incredible value for both companies to be able to share their expertise from now on.”

“Bentlon was my first supplier many years ago. The combination of their high-end products infused with Gharieni’s innovative spirit means we will see some exciting new developments."

There will be some new features coming to Gharieni’s existing range of treatment chairs later this year.

“For now, our great research and development team is busy working on a new product in our range; we are currently awaiting a first prototype,” said Gharieni. “What will the new product be? For now it will have to remain a secret!”
