Anna Goodchild has been announced as the new spa manager of the Fairmont Spa and Wellness facility at Fairmont Windsor Park.

Promoted from within the business, Goodchild joined Fairmont Windsor Park in 2023 as head of spa therapy, rising to assistant spa manager.

Her experience includes roles with Clarins and REN at Liberty London. She was part of the opening team for the first Elemis Skin Exchange in London and worked within Sky UK’s head office as a senior therapist, offering treatments for staff and celebrity guests.

“I’ve worked in the spa and wellness industry for more than 12 years. Growing within Fairmont Windsor Park has given me a real understanding of how the whole spa works. I know what it’s like to be a therapist here, what our guests need and how hard our team works every day."

Transforming guest wellbeing

“My journey has always been guided by a passion for nurturing others,” continues Goodchild, speaking exclusively with European Spa.

“Starting in the treatment room taught me how much of a difference the right energy, knowledge and touch can make. It’s not just about helping someone relax, but about genuinely transforming their wellbeing.

I look after a wonderful and diverse group of therapists, from apprentices just starting their careers to professionals with more than 30 years of experience. I believe therapists are the heart of our spa and the reason guests’ journeys are so special.

“Coming from a retail background, I also have a slightly different approach to spa retail. I’ve helped our therapists see it as part of the guest experience rather than an afterthought or something to fear. When it’s done right, retail adds real value to the guest’s overall journey.”

Goodchild plans to take a fresh look at the treatment menu and introduce new holistic options while keeping the offering balanced.

“It’s important to me that we add treatments that complement what we already do well, rather than overwhelm the menu,” she says. “I’m passionate about training and development and will be working closely with our brand partners to enhance the treatment menu.

“I’m also keen to champion our alternative wellness experiences, such as cryotherapy, LED light and Aquavibe therapy. These treatments offer our guests something results-driven while still fitting perfectly within our wellness philosophy.”

“Since joining our team, Anna has shown exceptional leadership, passion and a deep understanding of what makes a truly outstanding spa experience where guests can experience genuine transformation. Anna has grown with us from within the business, which gives her a unique appreciation for both our guests and our team of therapists.”

An evolving wellness offer

During the next six months, Goodchild plans to evolve the spa’s retail offering to include products that go beyond surface skincare and help guests’ evolve their everyday wellness routines.

“I want to look beyond the traditional five-step skincare approach and focus on products that genuinely support wellbeing in a more holistic way,” she says.

“I also want to keep investing in our apprenticeship therapists, giving them the best possible start in their careers with strong training and guidance.

“Finally, I’m introducing new signature and member events, including wellness retreats and exclusive experiences that reflect the spirit of Fairmont Windsor Park.”
