EXCLUSIVE: Rosewood Hotels & Resorts unveils its first global signature massage treatment

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has introduced its first-ever globally standardised treatment – the Rosewood Intuitive Massage.

This new immersive wellness experience, launching across its international portfolio, works to recalibrate the nervous system through the integration of touch, scent and sound.

Reflecting Rosewood’s commitment to creating deeply personal, sensorial and meaningful wellbeing experiences, the treatment takes personalisation to a new level by empowering therapists with a rich, new concept.

Developed in collaboration with Moods and Myndstream, the Intuitive Massage reflects a new commitment from Rosewood to personalised treatment journeys at its global portfolio of properties.

When European Spa experienced the treatment first-hand, the team found it was delivered with purpose and intention. It was not only deeply soothing but was truly personalised to our needs at that specific moment.

Empowering therapists at Rosewood 

“With massage representing 65–70 per cent of spa industry revenue, this initiative  reflects a strong commitment to elevate the guest experience, empower our team with sustainable techniques that support their performance,” said Emmanuel Arroyo, global wellness director, Rosewood.

“We wanted to create a massage that empower our therapists to first listen, observe and feel, and therefore understand the guest’s needs, so that they are able to provide of bespoke a treatment every time.”

“Through my years in ultra luxury, I’ve learned that truly exceptional experiences are never built on rigid protocols. The vision behind this experience was to create a treatment guided by principles not fixed sequences, empowering our therapists to listen, read the body and craft a truly bespoke experience for every guest,” said Arroyo.

Enhancing emotional states

Available in 60 and 90-minute formats, each treatment is intention-led, inviting guests to select from three emotional states: Energise, Restore or Rebalance.

These guiding intentions are expressed through a seamless fusion of therapeutic massage, mood-enhancing aromatic formulations and immersive sound design.

“This experience empowers therapists to intuitively adapt each massage through curated pathways, bespoke aromatherapy states, and immersive soundscapes, allowing every session to unfold uniquely for the guest,” said Arroyo.

“It reflects Rosewood’s commitment to anticipating needs and delivering deeply personal experiences, often before they are expressed. That is the essence of intuitiveness.”

Award-winning development 

Developed by award-winning spa consultant Jean-Guy de Gabriac — World Massage Championship judge and inductee into the International Massage Association’s 2025 Hall of Fame — this exclusive massage concept is crafted to encourage profound physical ease and a natural state of emotional flow.

Following a personalised consultation, guests share their current state of being and choose their preferred Moods oil and Myndstream soundscape.

Therapists then lead them through a continuous, restorative sequence of manual techniques designed to support nervous system regulation, deep relaxation and emotional release. The experience culminates in a treatment that dissolves tension, quiets the mind and gently uplifts the spirit.

Moods x Myndstream

Each massage journey is complemented by one of Moods’ signature oils, Fit, Chill or Found, and enhanced with a bespoke Myndstream soundscape, composed to reflect the intention, energy and rhythm of each ritual. These immersive soundscapes showcase renowned wellness artists, including three-time Grammy Award-winner Peter Kater, alongside Nick Gunn.

Crafted with clinically proven neuro-aromatic formulations, the Moods oils allow guests to choose the emotional dimension of their treatment, while the evolving soundscapes works in harmony with therapeutic touch. Together, they guide the body and mind toward deeper presence, tranquillity and equilibrium.
