Facebook has become a patron of the British Beauty Council as part of a new, two-year partnership.
The collaboration will include an annual programme of virtual events throughout 2021, run by Facebook to share trends and insights across areas of interest including STEM, digital marketing and sustainability.
“As a global social media company, this patronage not only reinforces the importance of beauty to this sector but also the opportunities for beauty within them,” said Anna Teal, CEO of Aromatherapy Associates and British Beauty Council pillar president for innovation.
According to the British Beauty Council’s Value of Beauty report, consumer spending across the beauty sector is thought to be worth £27.2bn (€30.02bn) and is a “viable and expanding industry”.
“Our Facebook partnership will not only help us to continue communicating the value and message of the beauty industry but also highlight the growing technology opportunities within it."
