French luxury skincare brand Biologique Recherche has opened Ambassade Biologique Recherche Rive Gauche, its second urban beauty retreat in Paris.

Located at 19 Rue de Tournon in the sixth arrondissement, the retreat is designed to immerse guests in the Biologique Recherche brand. It occupies 250sqm across two floors and features five treatment rooms, including a double suite, as well as a boutique and reception area.

The retreat offers a menu of custom body, face and scalp treatments, all using Biologique Recherche products, while one of the rooms is equipped with a spa bed connected to a sink to deliver hair treatments.

The property has five treatment rooms and offers a menu of custom Biologique Recherche treatments

Parisian spirit

The Ambassade’s interiors, featuring a blue, gold and cream colour palette, were designed by French interior designer Joanne de Lépinay, who paid tribute to the design aesthetic of the 1970s – the decade Biologique Recherche was founded in – while honouring the “Parisian spirit” of the building.

Lépinay was also responsible for designing and sourcing all the furniture for the property, which includes seating by Pierre Pauling and wall lamps by Jules Wabbes, as well as several original made-to-measure pieces created with glass artists and cabinet-makers.

The retreat's hand-crafted centrepiece

An architectural stairway adorned with an impressive hanging structure with brass moons and blown milk-glass balls serves as the property’s centrepiece.

“This new location is an intimate private space for custom face, body and scalp treatments,” said a brand statement.

“It’s an authentic jewel nestled in a neighbourhood filled with history and culture, adjacent to the Sénat and the majestic Jardin du Luxembourg.’

“The Biologique Recherche Ambassade represents the best showcase of the brand, offering a haven of peace that shares irreproachable values, standards, and successes.“

The Ambassade concept

The Ambassade concept was developed by brand founder Yann Allouche, who wanted the properties to serve as representatives of the brand’s expertise in urban locations around the world.

“The Biologique Recherche Ambassade represents the best showcase of the brand, offering a haven of peace that shares irreproachable values, standards, and successes, all to deliver exceptional customised care services and the Biologique Recherche expertise,” said Biologique Recherche CEO Rupert Schmid and co-president Pierre-Louis Delapalme.

The pair also revealed potential expansion plans saying: “Our main goal would be to expand our Ambassades networks in the most emblematic cities in the world, and if possible, open one Ambassade in each of our partners’ countries.”
