Biologique Recherche opens new Parisian Ambassade

French skincare brand Biologique Recherche has launched a second Ambassade in Paris.

The Ambassade concept, created by brand founder Yvan Allouche, was envisioned as an exclusive representation of the brand.

The first Ambassade opened on the Champs-Elysées in Paris in 1993. A second has now opened in the Rive Gauche district along the Seine, in the centre of the sixth arrondissement of Paris.

An intimate, private space for custom face, body and scalp treatments, the 250sqm Biologique Recherche Ambassade Rive Gauche is spread over two floors.

There is a boutique and five treatment rooms, one one which has a sink connected to the spa bed for hair treatments.

A 1970s vibe

Interior architecture was envisioned by Joanne de Lépinay, who worked on the original Parisian Ambassade.

She selected Pierre Paulin seating and Jules Wabbes wall lamps to pay tribute to the 1970s, the decade when Biologique Recherche was founded.

A centerpiece stairway has been renovated into a designer architectural element, above which hangs an structure featuring brass moons and hand-blown milk glass balls.

Original pieces of furniture were designed by Joanne de Lépinay exclusively for Biologique Recherche.

Global network

The brand is also expanding its elite Ambassade network around the world, with sites in in LA, Rome and Shanghai, each delivering customised skincare services.

Ambassade Biologique Recherche Roma, the first flagship in Italy, offers five treatment rooms for individual or couples’ treatments, one VIP suite and a retail area.

In Los Angeles, the first US flagship Ambassades is located on the famous Melrose Place in a two-storey maison.

As well as six treatment rooms there is a VIP suite, a diagnostic room equipped with a Skin Instant lab, a VisioLab and My Beauty DNA tools, plus a hair salon for scalp treatments.

Interior design was also by Joanne de Lépinay.
