Lauren Chury has been appointed director of wellness and spas at Bamford Collection.

In her new role she will lead the wellness strategy across the two flagship locations. These include Bamford Wellness Spa at Daylesford in the Cotswolds and Bamford Spa at Brompton Cross in London.

These locations set the benchmark for the group’s spa philosophy and guest experience, which is then adapted for the brand’s growing portfolio of global partners.

The portfolio includes Ritz-Carlton Maldives, 1 Hotels, and Lime Wood Hotel. The aim is to ensure the Bamford ethos is expressed in a locally relevant, yet consistent way.

“I’m honoured to be shaping the next chapter of wellness at Bamford - grounded in purpose, elevated in experience, and truly transformative for every guest we welcome.”

Her vision for the role is to further elevate and refine the Bamford wellness offering to award-winning standards across both spas.

“We’re proud to work with incredibly skilled therapists and passionate wellness professionals,” she says. “From crystal healers and lymphatic drainage specialists to advanced aestheticians and holistic practitioners.”

The goal is to provide transformative, integrated experiences that support long-term wellbeing, not just during a treatment, but beyond it.

“At the heart of this is a commitment to making a meaningful, healthy, and lasting impact on everyone we have the privilege to host,” she says.

A career in wellness

With over 11 years of experience across the luxury beauty, wellness, and retail industries, Chury’s career has included roles from premium in-store leadership to international brand development and spa operations.

Most recently, she was head of spa at Estelle Manor, where she led the opening of The Clubhouse, its gym and movement studio.

This was followed by the successful launch of Eynsham Baths, the property’s expansive Roman-inspired spa.

Prior to this she worked in senior commercial and leadership roles across the beauty industry. This work included time at Charlotte Tilbury, Philip Kingsley and Latest in Beauty, where she supported rapid expansion across the UK and Europe. She also worked in retail management at Harrods’ Beauty Apothecary.

“My passion for wellness is deeply personal as it’s something I’ve felt a strong connection to since my early teens,” she says.

“I’ve experienced the powerful impact that movement, holistic therapies, and mindfulness can have on both body and mind.” Chury brings wellness into her life through hot yoga, running and strength training.
