The Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel in Austria has reopened after a refresh with a new 800sqm Anantara Spa.

Located on the Ringstrasse in Vienna, the Anantara Spa embodies the brand’s ‘East meets West’ wellness philosophy.

The spa was re-designed in the Anantara corporate style and is a tribute to Thai culture, in which the Ananyata brand is rooted. It is the vision of spa consultant Bodina Quershi.

There are six treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite and a women-only area, plus a quiet relaxation room. Thermal facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, Finnish sauna and a sanarium by KLAFS. There is also a Hammam-style steam bath.

The adjacent Technogym-equipped fitness centre has a scenic jogging route along the Danube Canal and the Ringstrasse.

“At Anantara Spa, our priority is personalised care, holistic wellbeing and truly restorative experiences rooted in authentic Asian wellness traditions. We want every guest not just to relax, but to feel a true sense of arrival."

Thai-style treatments

Signature treatments are designed to evoke the tranquillity of Thai culture, using products by Valmont and Elemis.

The Palais Hansen Signature is an Austrian-inspired treatment tailored to promote deep relaxation. It incorporates therapeutic massage – integrating both Western and Eastern techniques – with calming scents of wild lavender from the Tyrolean Alps.

Beyond signature journeys and massages, wellness extends to high-tech therapies, including intense pulsed light therapy and body contouring.

Elemis advanced tech facials include cryotherapy, ultrasonic peels, oxygen infusions and LED light masks.

Towels and spa linens are supplied by BC SoftWear, while uniforms are sourced from French brand Noliju.
