The Coniston Hotel unveils Nàdarra Spa to celebrate nature

The Coniston Hotel Country Estate destination hotel has significantly invested in redeveloping its spa facilities.

Located in Coniston Cold on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the 1,400-acre estate is owned by the Bannister family and features a 71-bedroom hotel and self-catering cottages as well as the luxury spa that opened in 2015.

The upgraded spa, designed by Mark Green of Curveline Design and including an infinity pool and private spa garden experience with outdoor baths, is set to be completed in March 2021.

Part of the spa’s reopening strategy was to rename and reposition the offer. The newly launched Nàdarra Spa – meaning ‘natural’ in Scottish Gaelic – in homage to the Bannister family’s history on the Isle of Lewis.

Enhanced outdoor facilities include a lake-view terrace with fire pits and a covered outdoor bar. Inside there will be a 15m indoor swimming pool and thermal experiences, including infrared and Finnish saunas as well an aromatherapy steam room, all supplied by Unique Pools.

A new spa manager has also been appointed to oversee the business’ next chapter. Belinda Belli has previously held positions at The Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda and, most recently, at The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
