Emblems Collection debuts in Canada with Rimrock Banff

Accor’s Emblems Collection entered the Canadian market with the opening of Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection.

The hotel – the second opening for Accor’s new brand – is located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.

Its offering centres around a social bathing, featuring Banff’s first luxury hydrothermal circuit.

The 900sqm Bathhouse at Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection introduces indoor and outdoor vitality and hot pools, a mountain-facing infinity pool, salt sauna, aromatic steam room and glacial cold plunges.

Wellness in its natural form

The Bathhouse is set into the mountainside and offers grounding heat balanced with cold experiences.

The experience extends into the Active Centre, featuring Technogym and Peloton equipment, climbing and bouldering walls, guided movement classes and recovery-focused offerings.

Indoor and outdoor offerings are connected by heated pathways, for year-round immersion. Suppliers include Bramari Saunas, Inland Luxury Saunas and Berndorf Bäderbau pools.

Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection

A longstanding Banff landmark,  Rimrock Banff resort has undergone an extensive transformation to ensure wellness is central to the experience.

Alongside the Bathhouse, a suspended meditation room and the Aurora sensory room offer more contemplative experiences, inspired by the natural rhythms of the Canadian Rockies.

Designed by Studio Collective and built by EllisDon, the Aurora Room was realised by White Mirror and is inspired by the northern lights, which can occasionally be seen above the property, using sound and colour to create a space for quiet reflection.

Led by the resort’s Pathfinders, wellness experiences include privately guided hikes, forest bathing, alpine yoga, canyon ice walks, indigenous cultural encounters and excursions to the Athabasca Glacier.

Set within Banff National Park, Rimrock Banff is surrounded by more than 2,500 square miles of protected wilderness.

“This resort, across the decades of its history, has always been defined by its remarkable setting,” said David Garcelon, general manager at Rimrock Banff. “This transformation was guided by a simple philosophy: create a resort that feels inseparable from the landscape itself.”

Emblems Collection expansion plans

Accor revealed Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa near Bath, UK, as its first Emblems Collection Hotel in December 2025.

Described by Accor as offering guests a ‘contemporary expression of luxury, defined by the soul of the destination and the soul of service’, additional Emblems Collection properties will include three Italian destinations.

Masseira Furnirussi in Puglia; Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti in Siena and Relais San Clemente near Perugia will each put wellness at the core of their offering, with a Purist Retreat and Spa.
