The Irish Spa and Beauty Association has announced two leadership appointments and the date for its winter conference.

Gosia Newell has been appointed as the association’s general manager. An experienced spa operations executive and wellness strategist, she has extensive expertise in luxury hospitality, operational excellence and commercial performance.

Throughout her career she has led high-performing spa teams, developed innovative treatment concepts and championed education and workplace wellbeing.

Newell is currently spa manager at Cliff House Hotel and previously worked at Fota Island Resort as spa and leisure manager.

As general manager of the Irish Spa and Beauty Association, she will oversee day-to-day operations and work closely with members, partners and industry stakeholders to strengthen professional standards. Her role is also to help support the continued growth of Ireland’s spa sector.

Supporting the ISA Board

Dara Mullooly has been appointed assistant general manager of the ISA. An award-winning spa leader with more than 20 years’ experience across the spa, wellness and hospitality industry, as director of spa at the Johnstown Estate she leads one of Ireland’s premier destination spas, overseeing commercial performance, guest experience, operational excellence and team development.

Irish Spa and Beauty Association Winter Conference

The Irish Spa and Beauty AssociationWinter Conference will be held at Dunboyne Castle Hotel, Dunboyne, Meath on Tuesday, October, 6, from 10am to 3pm.

The networking event will welcome industry visionary David Arraya, general manager of SHA Wellness Clinic in Alicante, Spain, as keynote speaker for this year’s autumn gathering.

An internationally recognised hospitality leader, executive coach and author of Conscious Hospitality, Arraya has held senior leadership positions across some of the world’s most respected luxury hospitality brands. These include Six Senses, Auberge Resorts Collection and Four Seasons.

His keynote will explore how conscious leadership, purpose and human connection are shaping the future of hospitality and wellbeing.
