The Grand Brighton’s recently refurbished L’Raphael Spa has appointed its new wellness and spa manager.

Jamie Wornham will lead the team at the £2.5m spa, which reopened in September after a refurbishment executed by Garuda Design.

Wornham has 14 years’ experience in senior management, working for brands including Handpicked Hotels.

In his new role, he’ll focus on creating meaningful guest wellness experiences following an influx of clients following the redevelopment.

“My focus is simple: optimise, position and grow. L’Raphael Spa & Wellness has the potential to be a leading luxury wellness destination. My role is to ensure we’re commercially disciplined and setting foundations for sustainable long-term growth.”

“The new spa has been operating for just over six months now and we’re working to spread the word about our amazing space,” said Wornham.

“We’ve already seen rapid growth in demand for day spa experiences and we are looking to expand this offering further with the addition of a tailored food and beverage experience in our spa lounge.”

The spa is the first in the UK spa to partner with Swiss skincare brand L. Raphael Genève’s.

The 699sqm L’Raphael Spa reopened with six treatment rooms and a new thermal suite by DaleSauna featuring a bespoke hydrotherapy pool, a hot tub and a sauna cabin.

There is also an aromatherapy steam room, experience showers, a cold plunge shower and an open-plan gym.

“His strong operational background, commercial focus and commitment to team development make him ideally placed to guide the spa through its next phase of growth.”
