Low Wood Bay Resort reveals spa transformation

The Windermere spa has unveiled a newly designed lounge and expanded treatment facilities

Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa in Windermere has revealed its new spa facilities following a £500,000 investment.

The newly designed spa features expanded facilities, five new treatment rooms and a spa lounge, developed in close collaboration with DV8 Designs, Mason Gillibrand Architects and Cubby Construction.

The additional treatment rooms and expanded relaxation area open onto the Fell View Balcony, with panoramic Lakeland views and access to outdoor thermal experiences.

The bespoke mask bar

There is also a new bespoke mask bar, offering personalised skincare rituals and allowing guests to sample a range of treatments tailored to different skin types.

The spa uses ESPA products alongside its signature brand, Berry & Birch.

This most recent investment follows the hotel’s previous expansion, which saw the creation of outdoor spa facilities including the acclaimed Upper Deck area, an 18m infinity relaxation pool, fire pits and loungers.

The Guided Glow

Spa beds in the new treatment rooms are supplied by Gharieni, while furniture and soft furnishings for the spa lounge were supplied by PS Interiors and Mirmac Interiors. Robes and spa linens are supplied by BC SoftWear.

In addition to the new spa areas, Low Wood Bay is introducing a signature in-room facial ritual, called The Guided Glow.

A self-guided experience using ESPA products, it is led by the spa’s senior head therapist Beckie Talbot via a personalised video tutorial.

The Guided Glow is currently available exclusively to Winander Club guests. After an initial introductory period, it will roll out to all guests later this year as a pre-bookable experience for all guests.
