Katie Collins has been appointed as spa manager at the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa.

Starting her career as a spa assistant at the Gainsborough Hotel in Bath when it first opened in 2015, Collins moved to the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa soon after as a therapist.

After taking up a senior therapist role at No 15 in Bath, then an assistant manager position at Woolley Grange, Collins has returned to the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa to assume her new role.

“We are looking to refurbish our treatment rooms as well as our changing areas and reception as part of a two year plan to modernise our spa,” said Collins.

“Alongside this, we will be introducing a new skincare brand, which will focus on clinically-driven results. We also have plans to add to our massage menus and upgrade our existing beauty products.”

The Spa at the Royal Crescent Hotel offers treatments and rituals in partnership with Ground Wellbeing, a partnership which began earlier this year.

It is the only spa in the southwest to offer the transformative treatments and rituals by the Irish brand, founded by Peigín Crowley.

Over the last two years, the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa has overhauled its F&B offering and embarked on a staged refurbishment of rooms and suites.

“This was a natural progression for the hotel and for Katie. She has been a great support to the team here and we’re looking forward to tapping into her knowledge and experience to develop our spa offering.”

“Katie’s career in some of Bath’s top hotels makes her the ideal candidate to front our spa,” said Lorraine Jarvie, general manager at the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa .

“She has great local contacts and her role will be to develop our membership as well as improve our offering. We will be concentrating on training and development of the team as well as enhancing guest experience through the addition of new products and services.”

The Spa & Bath House is situated within the hotel’s acre of secluded garden. It offers spa facilities including a 12m relaxation pool, a vitality pool, Himalayan salt-infused sauna and eucalyptus and menthol steam room.

In February, the spa introduced new aesthetic treatments in partnership with Royal Bath Aesthetics, after seeing increased demand for experiences that go beyond the typical offering.
