Brenners Park, the German flagship of the Oetker Collection in Baden-Baden, has appointed Katharina Stöckinger as its new head of spa.

Stöckinger will lead the hotel’s award winning Villa Stéphanie Spa & Wellbeing.

She holds various degrees, including a master’s in economics and a bachelor’s in nutrition and wellness studies. Her extensive experience in the wellness industry includes having worked as an independent nutrition consultant at Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria and Severin’s Hotel and Resort on Sylt, Germany.

Most recently, Stöckinger was spa manager at the organic wellness hotel Stanglwirt in Austria, where she led a 25-strong team and was responsible for both operational and strategic management.

Before this, she worked for four years at St. Martins Therme & Lodge in Frauenkirchen, Austria, where she was responsible for the continuous development of a sustainable spa concept.

“Katharina is a passionate expert, with whom we intend to expand our treatment offerings and – staying true to the tradition at Brenners – keep on top of innovation,” said Henning Matthiesen, director of Brenners Park.

“Given the renovation work on the main building, now is the right time for us to take the next step at Villa Stéphanie, too.”

The Villa Stéphanie Spa spans five floors, having undergone a complete renovation and comprehensive redesign in 2015.

The spa has recently introduced Canfield/Visia skin analysis as well as the complementary JetPeel facial, during which highly concentrated actives are worked into the skin. Both are supplied by Landsberg Ästhetik.

With the introduction of the two innovative technologies, guests can now enjoy bespoke facial treatments that target individual needs.

Stöckinger has also introduced a new spa menu at Villa Stéphanie, which includes the Visia skin analysis and the JetPeel Facial.

“With this expansion of our spa menu, we stay true to the tradition of Villa Stéphanie and Brenners – tailor-made service and steady innovation,” said Stöckinger.

“Each guest has their own needs, that is why we highly value an individual approach with the most modern treatments available.”

Extensive renovations at Brenners Park

The main building at Brenners Park has been undergoing an extensive renovation since 2023; its most comprehensive renovation to date.

The grand hotel has always been closely connected to the historical heritage of Baden-Baden and was one of the leading forces behind the spa movement during the 1980s.
