Park Hyatt has opened its first hotel in Morroco, complete with a 2,200sqm spa.

Le Spa Park Hyatt Marrakech is an ode to Morocco’s culture of hammam rituals and holistic therapies. Facilities include a 20m indoor heated pool beneath a vaulted ceiling, two hammams, a sauna, hot tub and two cold plunge pools.

There is also a 2,00sqm fitness centre, yoga studio and cross-training studio, plus a 47m outdoor heated pool.

The spa has a hairdressing and manicure salon, plus a footcare and pedicure salon.

Treatments are devised by hand-crafted Australia brand Sodashi. In the two traditional hammams, products used are from Nectarome – a natural Moroccan brand inspired by rich local botanicals.

“Our spa offers a unique combination of tradition and modernity. With panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains, natural light floods in, creating a warm atmosphere conducive to relaxation. It's a haven of wellbeing where everyone can recharge their batteries and rediscover deep harmony.”

A concept store stocks gifts, clothing and beauty products, with brands including frag’in, LUP31 and Lalla de moulati.

The design of Le Spa Park Hyatt Marrakech intentionally accentuates the surrounding panoramas.

Spa treatment and relaxation rooms offer picturesque views of the Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal.

Honouring Arab-Berber heritage

Located five miles from Marrakech’s historic medina, the 19-acre resort is situated at the base of the Atlas Mountains.

Offering a modern take on Arab-Berber heritage, the 130-room hotel was the vision of Marrakech-based architect Imaad Rahmouni.

There are 16 pavilions arranged around a central, zeolite patio, with interior design that draws inspiration from Moroccan aesthetics and Arab-Berber traditions.

Each pavilion, known as Douars, has a rooftop terrace with a 360° view.

Continuing the brand’s growth in Africa, Park Hyatt has announced the forthcoming Park Hyatt Johannesburg, set to open in 2025.
