Rutland Hall has appointed Kerry Summers as the new wellbeing manager for Four Roots Wellbeing.

Summers will head up a new wellbeing concept at the Leicestershire-based lakeside resort. She has experience in spa, salon and retail, having run her own salon, and has worked for Champneys as well as several skincare companies including Decléor, Clarins, Babor and Caudalie.

As well as experience managing retail accounts, Summers has worked as a regional manager and business development manager for companies include Bourne Leisure, Warner Leisure, Harley Medical, Skin and Transform.

She also spent a year working as a personal therapist to the Strictly Come Dancing professional couple, Flavia Cacace Mistry and Vincent Simone, on their Dance Til Dawn show.

A new wellbeing concept

Summers’ initial role at Rutland Hall will be to recruit a team of therapists. The team will be trained to carry out bespoke treatments designed to connect with a Four Roots’ concept of spiritual, physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

“I am excited to be overseeing the launch and ongoing development of this brand new concept. Four Roots Wellbeing will offer a gender-neutral, holistic escape from daily life combining a mix of bathing, wellbeing treatments, meditation, a sensory refresh and dining.”

“She will be instrumental in guiding the Four Roots team and ensuring that every guest embarks on a transformative journey of relaxation and rejuvenation.”

About Four Roots Wellbeing

Rutland Hall has been working with spa consultant Claire Caddick to bring Four Roots Wellbeing to life.

Designed to immerse guests in euphoria, Four Roots provides a curated four-hour guided journey that combines a mix of bathing, wellbeing treatments and meditation designed to rebalance guests.

The project is, said Caddick, “a complete wellbeing retreat rather than a spa. The curated journey has an itinerary from beginning to end. It’s particularly suited to those seeking serious wellbeing.

“The journey includes a bathing ceremony and a 60-minute wellbeing treatment of choice, plus time post-treatment in a private herbal lounge. Each guest gets a dedicated bed and headphones playing the Art of Sleep Meditation, created for Tribe517 by Kari Herbert of Wildcalm.”

Existing spa and wellness facilities at Rutland Hall include a 22m indoor swimming pool and a gym.

“Four Roots is pivotal to our ongoing commitment and investment in Rutland Hall. We are excited to launch this brand-new experience, particularly because it’s totally inclusive. Four Roots wellbeing will deliver a gender-neutral escape from daily life.”

Four Roots is now recruiting for a full wellbeing team including a manager, team leader and up to eight therapists.
