Aztec Hotel and Spa to offer cancer-safe treatments with Amethyst Trust

The Aztec Hotel & Spa, part of the Daniel Thwaites Spa Group, in Bristol, UK, has partnered with the Amethyst Trust to offer inclusive and specialist treatments to those who have been affected by cancer and other life-limiting conditions. 

As part of the partnership, spa therapists at the hotel have undergone cancer-safe massage training with the Trust and are now able to adapt the spa’s existing treatment menu, powered by Caudalie, to suit guests who are currently or have previously undergone treatment for cancer. 

The new treatments will be available in the spa from October 2022, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and will ensure that ‘wellness is delivered where it’s most needed’.

Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Thwaites group spa director Gemma Barratt said: “We believe spa should be inclusive for all, so wanted to work with a trust that could help us create treatments that were safe for those touched by cancer and other life-limiting conditions.

“Working with Caudalie, we have managed to adapt some of the treatments we offer, which means they can be enjoyed by all. We’re excited to be able to offer these treatments to those that are most in need of some TLC.” 

Established in 2010, Amethyst Trust Training is a SATCC-accredited organisation that works with spas and salons across the UK to help them meet the needs of people who have been affected by cancer.
