Suvretta House announces plans for a new spa in St Moritz

Suvretta House in the Graubünden mountains, Switzerland has revealed plans to open a new spa.

The Suvretta House spa and wellness retreat will span three levels and is set to open in 2025.

The first and second levels will feature new facilities including experience showers, steam baths and an exclusive ladies’ sauna with views of the surrounding forests.

There will be a Technogym-equipped advanced fitness area as well as dedicated yoga rooms and a yoga terrace.

Relaxation areas will overlook the Graubünden mountains and there will be an as yet undisclosed number of treatment rooms, a hairdresser salon and nail bar.

The design transformation, which is being carried out Swiss architect studio Ritter Schumacher, will include a new water experience on the third floor.

Features will include an outdoor hydropool, children’s pool and a 25m swimming pool powered by a renewable FEKA system.

The iconic Suvretta House hotel in St Moritz hotel first opened in 1912.

Set in a private estate, the fairy tale-esque hotel sits 1,850 metres above sea level, on an elevated plateau.

The hotel’s current spa has a 25m swimming pool, an outdoor heated hydropool, two saunas – a Finnarium, a sanarium, a vaporium and a caldarium. Treatments are by Cellcosmet, the SwissCellSpa Experience and ilā.
