Jennifer Young to offer spa partners free cancer touch training to address skills shortage

Cancer touch training specialist Jennifer Young is offering free accredited training to her partner spas who are struggling to offer treatments to those living with or recovering from cancer due to reduced staff. 

While demand for spa treatments has never been higher, the past 18-months has seen skilled therapists leaving the industry in droves due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and new recruits are often lacking the qualifications to offer specialist treatments to cancer sufferers. 

Young is hoping that her free training will address the skills shortage by providing her partners, who have previously invested in the training, with free accredited oncology training for an unlimited number of therapists. 

The training will be available for free until October 31, 2021.

“The therapist recruitment and retention crisis has left many spas operating a reduced service,” Young commented. “We don’t want this for either our spas or those affected by cancer. If ever there was a time that clients living with and beyond cancer needed a specialist treatment, it’s now. We want to help.

“Having spoken to many spa professionals, the way in which we can most help is by opening up our accredited and certified qualifications to all, without charge. We are offering our existing spa clients free access to our spa-specific training during October. There is no limit on the number of therapist employees who are welcome to enjoy the qualification,” she added.
