New appointments to lead future growth at European Spa

In an exciting new chapter for European Spa magazine, the leading business magazine for spa and wellness professionals, founding editor Sarah Camilleri has announced two new appointments to the team.

Mark Smith has stepped up to take on the new role of deputy editor, focusing on content strategy and growth, while Wendy Golledge has been appointed as online news editor.

Business opportunities

Mark has worked with European Spa since 2012, most recently as a contributing editor. He will be working closely with founding editor Sarah Camilleri to strengthen European Spa’s market position and develop new business opportunities in 2023, including the launch of a number of new special projects. He remains the business’s key contact for beauty and wellness news.

Mark has considerable experience within the spa industry – he has been writing about men’s grooming since 1999 and reporting on spas since 2007, as one of the sector’s few male journalists.

Bringing about positive change

Wendy Golledge joins European Spa with almost 20 years’ experience writing about the spa, health and wellness industries. She also brings a wealth of journalistic experience from consumer roles at prominent titles including Healthily, Top Sante, Zest and most recently as associate editor for the UK’s leading parenting website, Netmums.

Wendy will work as online news editor alongside Mark to create engaging spa news and expert-driven content and will be the key contact for all industry news, appointments, spa developments and refurbishments, as well as Spa Style in every issue.

A rapidly growing industry
