The Davines Group and [comfort zone] have partnered with the Rodale Institute, a US-based non-profit that promotes organic farming and regenerative agriculture, to open the first European Regenerative Organic Centre in an effort to propel the regenerative organic movement beyond food into both the beauty and personal care industries.

The centre, the Rodale Institute’s first outside of the US, will serve as a research hub, with a particular focus on small to mid-sized farms growing speciality crops to be used in food and beauty products in a Mediterranean climate.

It will also offer support, training and resources to local regenerative organic farmers, as well as bolster the company’s own sustainability research and reserve of regenerative organic ingredients.

"In this critical phase of life on our planet, a new paradigm of economic and demographic growth is only possible if the Earth’s ecology is preserved and enhanced."

Davide Bollati

Owner and chair, Davines Group

One of the key trends mentioned in the Global Wellness Institute’s annual report, regenerative agriculture has the potential to mitigate climate change, sequester carbon, promote biodiversity and protect soil, air and water.

Commenting on the partnership, Davines Group owner and chair Davide Bollati said: “In this critical phase of life on our planet, a new paradigm of economic and demographic growth is only possible if the Earth’s ecology is preserved and enhanced.

“With the aim of tackling this gigantic task, Davines Group has been playing its part throughout the years with humility and enthusiasm for the cause. Partnering now with the Rodale Institute, a true kindred spirit and dynamic pioneer of this regenerative vision, is a collaborative way to take greater steps on our journey to making the world a more beautiful place through beauty, ethics and sustainability.”

"We’re thrilled to partner with Davines to achieve their vision – a world where not only organic food is transparent and healing the planet, but a consumer can embrace a regenerative organic lifestyle in their personal products as well."

Jeff Moyer

CEO, Rodale Institute

“We hope our partnership will not only positively impact our product development and supply chain, but also serve as a catalyst for change that will animate sustainability studies and regenerative organic farming practices in Italy, Europe and beyond.” Bollati added.

Jeff Moyer, CEO of the Rodale Institute, said: “We’re honoured to have the opportunity to partner with the Davines Group for our first international Regional Resource Center to provide that education, research and support to farmers in Italy, Europe and beyond.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Davines to achieve their vision  – a world where not only organic food is transparent and healing the planet, but a consumer can embrace a regenerative organic lifestyle in their personal products as well.”
